Cronenberg Can Act,
A Welcome Place for the Weird,
Shangri-La on Dope
This was supposed to be part of my year in hindsight review (still forthcoming), but I realized I had way too much to say about the movie. Truthfully, this is both a reaction to the movie and to the internet at large's voice on it and the split it has caused between fans. Possibly it also counts as a defense because I'm among those who LOVED the movie. Contained within is ramblings covering Kurosawa's influence, to the deconstructing nature of the spaghetti western and how it ties in, to the wide-eyed bright hope that once belonged to a child.
P.S. Sorry for the first 7 seconds being silence
